Boston-area Blues programs on radio...

I am very happy that the Boston area has some fine Blues programs, most of which are available streaming online too!!

#1: Blues on WGBH -- hosted by the pleasant-voiced Brendan Hogan. Brendan mixes it up real well -- and his knowledge is vast....
#2: Blues Deluxe: This WUML program is very often uneven in quality, but the producers of this show are knowledgeable and the commercial-free format cannot be beat...
#3: Sunday Morning Blues by Carter Allen on WZLX. Allen is a great host too and has some very deep knowledge of his blues...but at times I find the program a bit to rock-ish...a bit populist even...I guess Carter has to make some compromises working out of a rock station...
#4: Blues on Sunday(WBOS) hosted by Holly Harris is another Boston fixture but I somehow do not manage to catch it too often...but on the occassions I have heard it...I liked it!

Looks like we have another Indian in the Boston area who loves blues like I do...... thanks for the links.

Waise, in today’s internet age, there is little need for local radio stations to get good music. Live365, Shoutcast, BBC radio, etc provide an amazing window into some great music year round…

Anyways.. thanks for the links. Happy listening.

P.S. In addition to jazz legends Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter, I believe legendary blues guitarist Buddy Holly also visited India (performance in Mumbai) recently. Its good to see India is attracting some real great musicians too, in addition to washed out pop stars like Ricky Martin and legends of the past like Roger Waters (Pink Floyd.)
