How to create "Tabs" in Blogger.
Tabs, which run across your blog [I assume depending on your template] are actually separate "Pages." So here are the steps I folllow to add new " tabs" -
- Assuming you are logged in to your Blogger account, access the Blogger admin panel by clicking on the orange B logo on the top left hand corner.
- Create a new "Page" by clicking on Pages->New. I normally just start by giving the page a title, like "Tech" for this one and saving that new page.
- I then go to "Layout" on the same panel. Here you'll see objects such as Navbar, Header and Cross-Column. Click on the Edit link on the right-bottom of the Cross-Column.
- You should be presented with a small popup window - "Configure Page List" - which will have "Pages to Show" and "List order."
- The new page you just created, "Tech," in our case should be listed there. Check the box to the left of it and if you are happy with the order presented in "List Order," then just Save and come out of it. You can now refresh your blog and you should see the new "Tab" - "Tech!"
How to fix Windows "Bootmgr is missing: Press CTRL ALT DEL" etc
In my case I had deleted a Linux partition I had created (!) in a dual-boot laptop wunning Win10 & Ubuntu.
So I went googling about and soon realized this was hardly a rare event - in fact a tool called Rescatux specifically sought to address this. Another recommended tool on several sites was the "Boot Repair Disk," off of Sourceforge so I decided to try that one out first. Something happened in my creating a bootable USB for Rescatux hence I went for BRDisk...I forgot that I've never had luck repairing anything with BRD previously tho' it has a good file manager if you wish to transfer files from a non-booting computer.
I must add here that I also tried the Windows Install CD recovery options - I had the Win7 install disk with me. However they would not work because the repair tool was not detecting a Win7 installation. So even if I tried the "bootrec" command, the laptop would not boot into Windows...
Anyways, when I deleted the linux partition, the laptop dropped into this grub prompt -
(initramfs)
with drm:intel_pch_fifo_underrun_irq_handler errors...
so I had tro rescue Grub...hence I went with Boot Rescue Disk's Recommended Fix - which evidently fixes most GRUB/MBR issues. Hoping for the best, I rebooted, only to be confronted by a new message, ""Bootmgr is missing: Press CTRL ALT DEL" etc!! Looks like BRD had done something to the Windows Boot Manager that the Windows Bios could not find it...so from the frying pan into the fire...
Once again I tried the various Windows recovery CD options [I did not have a system restore point setup :( or a rescue disk] to no avail as the repair tools would not even find the windows installations. It was then - one last time before I thought I'd fresh install Win7 - that I decided to google again and came across this discussion on SevenForums which also was specifically trying to solve the issue I was facing - "Windows 7: Bootmgr is missing, startup repair doesn't detect hard drive."
It was in one of the last posts which spoke about marking the boot partition active that piqued my curiosity and I decided to try that. The steps, luckily provided via a link, which included going to the command console from the Win7 install CD I had and then dropping into the "diskpart" tool which I had no idea Windows had, followed by bootrec commands did the trick for me! I had tried the bootrec commands (fixmbr/fixboot) commands earlier but this time threw in the "/RebuildBCD" also.
The entire combination - setting partition active followed by bootrec commands" had the pleasant effect of fixing the boot manager and Win10 came right back up!
