Well, well, who would have guessed that someone from that hoary past when Indian novels in English were few and far between, when a Richard Crasta or a Upamanyu Chatterjee with the sheer novelty of raw writing in English and a spunky, devil-may-care attitude would bowl a whole generation of urban Indians...who would have guessed, that someone, and Upamanyu no less would go on a book tour, in an age when so many authors of Indian descent are jostling for their spot under the sun...
But he was here in Boston, lean and spare, almost like Dev Anand as someone observed...reading in a certain careful, deliberate manner...saying he felt like Rip Van Winkle coming out to promote English, August after 18 years...

Hello,
I am a fellow Bostonian.
You seem to have a very good idea of whats hapenning around the town as regards to literary and music events. Is there a central website that you goto where you get all this information. Any pointers would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Anirudh
No one place, really...but certainly the A&E section of boston.com...and listings in thephoenix.com...also, harvard.com, the harvard gazetteer, brookline booksmith websites...
