Of gold slippers and home stretches...

Punning, often considered a low art form, seems to be a favorite recourse of newpaper and magazine headline writers. I have always enjoyed a skillful pun and some recent ones have caught my attention:

-- An article entitled "Gold Slippers" which tells of the 2006 winter Olympics skiers and skaters who missed out on getting gold medals -- because they slipped (on ice) during their performances...

-- Here is another entitled "Home Stretch (with a byline of 'Yoga Hits Home')" about the increasing trend of personalized yoga classes in people's homes, instead of in gyms
