Jumping Jack Flash....

Now I can almost believe this...

I was born in a cross-fire hurricane
And I howled at my ma in the driving rain,
But it’s all right now, in fact, it’s a gas!
But it’s all right. I’m jumpin’ jack flash,
It’s a gas! gas! gas!

Having decided to finally catch the Stones at Fenway last Tuesday, after much hesitation about geriatric rockers, I came away quite literally "blown away!" And not in the least by the 62-year old Jumping Jack Flash Mick Jagger!

He struts and marches up and down the stage with an enviable youthful sprightliness in his step, and his voice is strong and urgent as ever!! Keith Richards and Ron Wood maintain masterful control over the guitars and the riffs are strikingly bluesy as ever, they have not lost their edge. And last but not the least, Charlie Watts's sense of rhythms is blessedly undiminished: he pounds away on his drums with the unfailing precision as always, and all this, with pursed lips and an inscrutable expression, as always...

What a great show and am I glad I caught it!
